Nancy Geneva (Jenkins) Davis, 90, of Arkansas City, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2001, at the Presbyterian Manor Health Care Center. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 15, 2001 at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery. Pastor James Newman officiated.
Nancy was born Sept. 8, 1910 in Kay County, OK to Thomas E. and Myrtle C. "Lottie" (Gregory) Jenkins. She was reared and educated in the Kay County and Bixby, OK areas. Nancy married Samuel F. Davis, Jr. on Sept. 2, 1930, in Newkirk. The couple made their home in the Newkirk area for a short time before moving to Arkansas City in 1931. Nancy was a homemaker and member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two sons, Gary of Arkansas City, Tom of Jennings, LA; two daughters, Delores Guilinger of Olathe, KS and Jollene Hunt of Arkansas City; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam in 1993, two grandsons, one brother and one sister.
A memorial has been established with the First Assembly of God Church of Arkansas City. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Rindt-ErdmanFuneral Home of Arkansas City. |
