Alpers

Located in northern Carter County, 7 miles northeast of Ratliff City.
They had a post office from July 15, 1918 to November 14, 1931.
Named for Dr. H. W. Alpers, a local resident.

*Ardmore

Ardmore is the County Seat of Carter County.
It is the Record Town for Recording District No. 21, Indian Territory.
The Post Office was established on October 27, 1887.
It's name comes from Ardmore, Pennsylvania, a town along the main Line of the Pennsylvania Railroad.

Baum

Formerly Boland, in Carter County, located 3 miles east of Gene Autry.
The Post Office name changed to Baum on September 21, 1894 and discontinued March 15, 1918.

Berwyn

Formerly Dresden, in Carter County.
The Post Office name changed to Berwyn on September 1, 1887
and the name changed to Gene Autry on January 1, 1942.
It's name comes from Berwyn, Pennsylvania.

Boland

Located in Carter County, 3 miles east of Gene Autry.
The Post Office was established on April 19,1894 and the name changed to Baum on September 21 1894

Brock

In Carter County located 7 miles southwest of Ardmore.
They had a Post Office from September 15, 1896 to October 31, 1954.
It was named for Smith Brock, a prominent Chickasaw Indian.

Chagris

In western Carter County located 4 miles northwest of Healdton.
They had a Post Office from April 26, 1896 to February 27, 1909.

Cheek

In Carter County located 10 miles southwest of Ardmore.
They had a Post Office from November 19, 1888 to March 15, 1935

Clemscot

In northwestern Carter County.
They had a Post Office from May 5, 1924 to April 22, 1966.
The name was coined from the names of two local residents, Clem Brooks and Scott Sparks.

Crinerville

In Carter County located 6 miles southwest of Ardmore.
They had a Post Office from November 10, 1885 to October 31, 1887.
It was named for John Criner, a prominent early day settler.

Deese

In Carter County, located 8 miles northwest of Ardmore.
They had a Post Office from January 21, 1904 to September 15, 1913.
It was named for Robert N. Deese, the first Postmaster.
