| EDNA MAE BARNARD BARRINGTON Edna Mae Barrington of Oklahoma City, passed away March 20, 2000. Born in Marlow, Oklahoma July 12, 1911 to Claude Barnard and Ester Akins Barnard, she was 88 years old. She married J.S. Barrington April 2, 1930 in Marlow, Oklahoma. Edna and her husband moved to Grady County in 1936. They farmed, ran a dairy and raised quarter horses until 1973 when they retired. She enjoyed square dancing and horseback riding. During WWI whe went to the Red Cross to learn to knit sweaters for the soldiers. She also crocheted enough afghans to cover Grady County. She is survived by her daughter, Dana Mae Barrington of Oklahoma City, sister, Cleo Shook of Marlow, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Her husband J.S. Barrington, son Royce W. Barrington, grandson, Roy Long, parents and 5 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Services will be held at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore, Thursday, March 23, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Reverand Harvey Spear will officiate. Interment will be held at FairLawn Cemetery in Chickasha, Oklahoma at 4:30 p.m. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore, Oklahoma.
