Named for Henry W. Grady of Atlanta, Georgia, editor of the Atlanta Constitution.
Created in 1907 at state hood from Caddo and Comanche Counties. Cities with in this county include Alex, Amber, Chickasha, Ninnekah, Pocasset, Tuttle

Chickasha is the County Seat of Grady County. Formerly known as Pensee, the Post Office name changed to Chickasha June 20, 1892. The Court Clerk has marriage, divorce, civil court, probate records from 1907,
the County Clerk has land records from 1907.
